We provide ad-hoc anti-corrosive and ceramic coatings, developed to meet specific industry requirements. We engrave our rolls with 500 watt Fiber Laser technology and count on a fleet of 14 machines. Dedicated production lines for XXL rolls allow us to process cyliders with diameters up to 800 mm and engraved tables up to 7000 mm. Specifications of each processing step are recorded: tight construction and engraving tolerances ensure high quality standards.
The control of the entire production cycle allows us to commission raw materials according to our surface processing requirements and the OEM’s specifications. Journal production is carried out in our factories based on defined production standards and in accordance with construction drawings. All 16 processing steps are developed to meet the needs of the industry for which the rolls are intended. A barcodes system allows us to identify the machining status of each part and to reproduce the identical cycle over time. We keep on optimizing machining operations through the analysis of user feedback and data collected during the incoming inspection.

Our experience with OEMs and leading groups enabled us to identify engraving specifications to maximize printing press performance, extend the operating life of our anilox and reduce ordinary maintenance. Tested and validated preset parameters for each printing press reduce the risk of cylinder selection. With our Simec Digital Background we ensure standardization where useful, customization when necessary, high quality and jobs repeatability.
We transformed the traditional reactive approach into a proactive one thanks to our ability to predict our customers’ needs in qualitative and quantitative terms. We know exactly what to provide to meet a specific need and we keep it in stock to ensure prompt delivery.
Our production tools are manufactured with state-of-the-art laser technology; choose among the widest range of mechanical engravings or take advantage from customization: detection and reproduction, on-demand development. We process all types of rollers up to the Jumbo version. New technologically advanced engravings offer great printing versatility even for obsolete machines with a three-roll inking system, improving performance to that of ceramic cylinders.

Our procedures ensure that a refurbished roller has the same performance and operating life as a new one. All machining operations follow the OEM specifications recorded in our database. Each anilox has an ID card where all significant steps in its life cycle are recorded, allowing us to analyse its performance over time.
The refurbishment of mechanically engraved chromed rollers implies the roller diameter reduction. If required by OEMs' manufacturing specifications, we restore the diameter and apply a substrate such as nickel, steel or stainless steel, depending on the model and on the requirements of the machine on which the roll will be installed.
