On 23 and 24 October, Gifco’s technical seminar “Innovation and sustainability in the corrugated cardboard packaging industry” takes place at the Hotel Palace in Viareggio.

On Friday 23 October at 3:00 pm, Nicolò Della Torre, Sales Manager at Simec Group, will present Starlox Plus, the new laser engraving technology designed for corrugated board.

The secret lies in the cell geometry: a shallower cell that, for the same functional volume, makes better use of opening and angle.

This reduces the “well” effect, and the ink is released gradually, steadily and uniformly. The result is more ink transferred to the plate, more compact solids with fewer micro-voids and less banding, and repeatable results across reprints and different machines. Less residue at the bottom of the cell also means fewer cleaning cycles and a constant actual volume over time.
