This structure utilises the same manufacturing process as Deltor BU, but one or several layers of stainless steel are used instead of normal steel.
The advantage of this product is twofold since, besides the rebuilding of the original diameter, a normal roll of carbon steel can be converted into a roll coated with stainless steel.
This special product is mainly used in all those applications where problems due to the fluid being used during spreading or gluing are encountered.
Similar to the conventional BU, the thickness may vary according to the size of the roll; however for ensuring the necessary stainless features the thickness is never under 2,5/3 mm. After a series of further operations and thermal treatments, the substrate applied is engraved mechanically.
After engraving the roll can be considered completed, but for reducing the wear when necessary, there still can be different treatments, both thermal and galvanic ones and also flame processes according to the requirements of the customer.
