Quality and repeatability in time of the printed matter are basic issues for any flexo printer or user of engraved rollers; just as fundamental are start-up times and reduction of dead times coming from rollers in bad maintenance conditions. It is important to manage the integrity of the press inventory since the adoption of wrong cleaning systems is one of the major causes for refurbishments.

Just because the anilox maintenance is so important, several years ago Simec started carrying out very thorough analyses in collaboration with different research institutes on the various cleaning systems and products available in the market.

Research proved that most of the cleaning systems were indeed able to remove dirt from the cells but, in the meantime, could damage the anilox structure or the cells themselves.

But our customers needed specific guarantees on our products and this is why we started designing and developing our own cleaning systems in order to guarantee not only the cleanness of our rollers but also ease of use, low environmental impact, reduced cleaning costs and above all 100% guarantee.
